Hello world my name is Mark S. Thompson. When starting this introduction I kept asking myself, should I be professional? Should I be raw unfiltered me? All you need to know is that I LOVE sports! For the most part I am pretty knowledgeable on selected professional sports such as NHL, MLB, etc. I’ll be honest with you now; you probably won’t see any post about college sports until the NCAA pays its student athletes but hey Villanova Men’s Basketball team could win another National Championship and boom a post. I love the NFL plus I am a BIG Philadelphia Eagles fan. I bleed green, no joke! And, I just don’t love the NBA but I am passionate about the NBA. I eat sleep and breathe the NBA. When people say “Ball is Life” I embody it! Okay, that was a bit over the top but to say the least I am a BIG NBA fan. My NBA team of choice is the Philadelphia 76ers ever since I watched the GOAT Allen Iverson cross up His Airness Michael Jordan as a rookie. If the picture of Allen Iverson and the title of the blog “We Talkin Bout Practice!?” wasn’t a giveaway nonetheless this blog’s content will mainly consist of my thoughts on the NBA and the NFL.
In addition to this blog am I am the creator of the AVOPODCAST where I talk about national sports headlines focused around the NBA and the NFL with emphasis on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia 76ers. The AVOPODCAST can be found on Soundcloud and Apple Podcast, that’s if you would like to hear my soothing voice coming through your speakers. Overall my goal with this blog is to continue to build my portfolio in hopes of one day covering the NBA and having my very own sports talk radio show.
